Subscription fees
Is there a free plan?
Yes — Autopilot launches with a free tier that gives you full access to the platform. You only pay for the products you produce and the shipping on each order. There are no monthly fees at launch.
Will you introduce paid plans in future?
We plan to introduce optional paid tiers with reduced per-product pricing and additional features. We'll notify all existing users well in advance and you'll never be moved to a paid plan without your consent.
Are there any setup or cancellation fees?
None. Install the app from the Shopify App Store for free. If you decide Autopilot isn't right for you, uninstall from your Shopify admin — no penalties, no questions asked.
Product fees
Each product available through Autopilot has a base production cost set on our platform. This covers printing, materials, and fulfilment handling. You set your own retail price in Shopify — your profit is the difference.
How are product prices set?
Shipping rates are calculated in real time using the delivery address your customer enters at checkout. The rate reflects the actual carrier cost for the package weight, dimensions, and destination. Autopilot sources competitive rates from national and international carriers.
Where can I see current product prices?
All base prices are visible in the Autopilot product catalogue inside your Shopify admin. Prices are shown before you add a product to your store, so you can set your retail price with confidence. There are no hidden surcharges applied at checkout.
When am I charged for a product?
You're charged when a customer places an order in your Shopify store. Autopilot collects the base product cost at the time of order submission and routes the job to production. There is no upfront inventory investment — you only pay when you sell.
How do I make a profit?
You set the retail price of each product in your Shopify store. Your margin is the difference between what your customer pays and Autopilot's base product cost plus shipping. For example, if a print costs $4.50 to produce and you sell it for $12.00, you keep $7.50 minus any Shipping & Shopify transaction fees.
Can prices change after I list a product?
Base prices may be updated over time. When a price changes, we'll email you at least 14 days in advance so you have time to adjust your retail pricing if needed. Your listed Shopify prices are never changed automatically.
Shipping fees
Shipping is calculated dynamically at checkout based on the destination, order weight, and the carrier rates available in your region. You can pass the exact shipping cost to your customer or offer flat-rate or free shipping and absorb the difference.
How is the shipping cost calculated?
Shipping rates are calculated in real time using the delivery address your customer enters at checkout. The rate reflects the actual carrier cost for the package weight, dimensions, and destination. Autopilot sources competitive rates from national and international carriers.
Can I see estimated shipping costs before I list a product?
Yes. The Autopilot product catalogue shows indicative shipping ranges by region so you can plan your pricing. Final rates vary by customer address and are confirmed at checkout.
Who pays for shipping?
That's entirely up to you. You can pass the calculated rate directly to your customer at checkout, offer a flat shipping fee, or offer free shipping and build the cost into your product price. Autopilot collects the actual shipping cost from your store at the time of order.
Are there any additional handling or packaging fees?
No additional fees are charged beyond the base product cost and the calculated shipping rate. Packaging materials are included in the base product cost.
